Every passenger will need a valid passport to clear immigration at the port. The only exceptions are cruises that do not leave South African waters (e.g. Nowhere Cruises or Coastal Cruises between Durban and Cape Town) and should you be traveling on a Nowhere Cruise or a Coastal Cruise between Durban and Cape Town, an official South African ID is required. This ID can be in the form of an ID Book, Passport or Driver’s License. In the case of children traveling on a Nowhere or Coastal Cruise, and if they do not have any other form of positive identification, a birth certificate is required. Children cruising on other cruises ALSO need a passport!

Entrance requirements for countries & visa costs change on a regular basis. Although these details were correct as at June 2009, they are subject to change and should be checked prior to cruising.

Please do NOT:

  • Leave your passport in your main luggage - If you do it will go on-board and we may not be able to find it amongst thousands of bags! This is YOUR responsibility to ensure that your documents are in hand!!!

  • Forget your passport at home - If you do you will not be able to sail! This is a ruling by the SA Customs and SARS.
