The Oasis of the SeasThe biggest passenger vessel ever built! Oasis of the Seas is the biggest and most expensive cruise ship ever built. Its contruction started in Finnland in 2006, the ship is five times the size of the Titanic. Oasis of the Seas is a real ‘floating city’ that cost 900 million euro, is 360 metres in length, 47 metres in width and weighs 220,000 gross tons. The huge cruise ship towers 65 metres high above sea level and has 18 decks where travelers find natural trees, a swimming pool with surfing waves, fitness halls, casinos and many other amazing features. Passengers’ entertainment will include Broadway plays and ice skating shows. The American company, Royal Carribean, claims that the ship is the ‘most original ever built’. Its attractions haven’t ever been built on a cruise ship before. Instead of placing a block of cabins in the middle of the ship, the builders have stacked the rooms on either side, a radical innovation that left an airy, glass-enclosed atrium longer than a football field at the core. Because of the amphitheater-style seats, 600 guests can watch acrobatics and synchronized swimming. The cruise ship can host up to 3.630 passengers and around 2.100 crew members. The ship includes a wide range of facilities for visitors such as Central Park Neighbourhood, Boardwalk Neighbourhood, Aqua Theater, two rock climbing walls, rising tide bar, crystal canopies, zip line and a carousel. Accommodation includes inside, promenade-view, junior, royal, crown loft, sky loft, balcony, ocean-view, central park view, grand, family and royal loft staterooms. The seven neighbourhoods of the Oasis of the Seas are the Youth Zone, the Royal Promenade, Entertainment Place, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Pool and Sports Zone, Central Park, Dining-wise. There are also 12 additional areas with an extra fee charge. The Oasis of the Seas is equipped with the most advanced wastewater-purification system.
